How do you say "Bang! Bang! You're dead" in Dutch? This is pathetic beyond words.

Hmmm...All those social programs use up their ammo money.

Hey! We at one point we were buying ammo from everyone including PMC, IMI, Prvi, and some little outfit in the Miami area I can't remember off the top of my head. We fought WWII with how many Army owned and operated ammo plants and now we have just Lake City operated by ATK??

Can you imagine if someone or something blew that one up?

Our guys might want to take finger pointing lessons from the Dutch just in case. It's the closest thing to a plan B DOD could come up with.

I have M2 ball cases from WWII with headstamps from DEN, WCC, SL, RA, and of course LC. Now we have one source for 7.62 and 5.56. Our guys had better hope that the low bid civilian contractor running Lake City doesn't manage to blow it up.

I suppose, "Going Dutch" applies to shooting as well, now. Some Defense Minister needs to be busted back to flipping b(h)urgers.

They should contact our alphabet agencies for ammo; they bought it all up

The US ran out of small arms ammo in 2005, and as stated above were sourcing from elsewhere for immediate needs.

The situation is not much better today, with Army procurement for FT 2015 at some 250 million rounds total. With full mobilization for any of the "martial law" scenarios out there, that would last the Army for less than 90 days, especially if you tried to give each soldier a basic load of 210 rounds of 5.56.
