"While Governor Malloy and Connecticut Democrats indulged in their anti-gun fetish, another mother was murdered by a mentally ill young man."

Good job, cultists. You’ve added another body to the pile.

By dismantling the Insane Asylum System where crazy people can get treatment (if possible) or at least be in a lower-damage situation, families are forced to either keep their crazy people at home or put them on the curb as "homeless" to fend for themselves.

Either way is bad. Untreated crazy people "self-medicate" with whatever they can get: alcohol, pot/hash, opiates, prescription pharma, and the Oregon favorite -Mexican Meth (what could be better than schizophrenics on speed?).

This doesn't have anything to do with firearms, except that the crazy people should not be loose or unsupervised, let alone be armed.

Unfortunately, when state funded treatment facilities are defunded and shut down, the homeless population and the jail/prison populations rise. Domestic violence from the mentally ill attacking their families rises.

The problem is not firearms in the homes, but some of the home occupants who should be elsewhere, and appropriate elsewhere no longer exists.
