David Codrea: ATF creating ‘legal’ injustice for FFL fighting revocation

The dirty anti-gun-agenda criminal bastards who run the ATF Chief Counsels' Office are up to their old tricks again.
By improperly causing a hearing to be removed from the court calendar, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives prevented a Federal Firearms Licensee from seeking discovery crucial to its case for a scheduled revocation hearing, a motion filed on behalf of Brink’s, Incorporated, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas at Dallas asserted Monday. Requesting either “to reinstate [the court] hearing date or, in the alternative, to reschedule [the] FFL revocation hearing,” the motion points out it “serves as Brink’s only opportunity to obtain discovery for the purposes of defending its license.”

For us graybeards, this an old - and well-known - BATF tactic. But given their power why change the playbook ?

One has to wonder, "Why Brinks ? " . Perhaps we ought to "follow the money" and see of Ms. Bennet owns stock in a competitor, or has some personal animus for the Brinks company. >Jeff

Fortunately, Brinks has the money necessary to fight these syphilitic scum to the top court. I have to think that an organization as big as Brinks, also has political clout. I rare ever smile, but when I read stories where I think ATF has stepped on it's dick, I smile. If the congress still had it's House on un-American Activities Committee, ATF would surely be investigated. They have got to be worse than the Commies in Hollywood.

In light of this tyranny, here's a related event, reversing NDAA dictate, great piece over at ero Hedge, now if this could be done to the dumbass's at the ATF...

"...Fear is the psychological weapon of choice for totalitarian systems of power. Make the people afraid. Get them to surrender their rights in the name of national security. And then finish off the few who aren’t afraid enough. If this law is not revoked we will be no different from any sordid military dictatorship. Its implementation will be a huge leap forward for the corporate oligarchs who plan to continue to plunder the nation and use state and military security to cow the population into submission."

The old axiom that you can't fight city hall (ie the gummint) is especially true when they can arbitrarily change the rules and particularly when the 'courts' allow them to get away with it. We all know what would have happened if the roles had been reversed..........
This reminds me of the Great Gibson Guitar Raid. Does barry and/or (with)holder already have a prepared list of companies to target or do they just 'happen' to pick them???
